Where It All Began
Before millions of followers and before the name Afghanistan My Passion, there was a simple idea: create a place dedicated to Afghanistan, its people, culture, history and identity. The page began under the name Afghanistan Best At All.

Afghanistan My Passion Is Born
In 2014 the page was rebranded from Afghanistan Best At All to Afghanistan My Passion. The new identity better represented the emotional connection between the community and Afghanistan.
Officially Verified
As Afghanistan My Passion continued to grow, the page received official verification from Facebook. By this period, the community had already grown beyond 170,000 likes.

Speaking Came With a Price
As the audience grew, so did the pressure. According to the Afghanistan My Passion team's own account, the team received messages from politicians, powerful individuals and people associated with influential groups objecting to content published about them, some of which included threats. The team continued publishing content it believed was important.
Everything Changed.
The events of August 2021 in Afghanistan were, in the words of the Afghanistan My Passion team, emotionally devastating. This period affected the community and the team's ability and willingness to continue publishing as before.
For a While, We Went Silent.
After years of documenting, sharing and connecting, Afghanistan My Passion stepped away. The page was deactivated for approximately one year.
But the Story Wasn't Over.
After approximately one year, Afghanistan My Passion returned — not as a dramatic comeback, but as a continuation of a story that had never truly ended.

Today Afghanistan My Passion exists across multiple platforms — connecting Afghans inside Afghanistan and throughout the diaspora, and preserving a story that continues to unfold.
